There will be a service of remembrance to commemoration the 40th Anniversary Golborne Colliery, which took place on 18 March 1979.

Officiating at the Service will be:

The Bishop of Liverpool and all the Local Clergy

The Mayors and consorts of Wigan and

St. Helens will lead a procession from The Queen Anne Public House, Bridge Street, Golborne at  2 p.m. following the Golborne Brass Band

Please assemble outside The Queen Anne  at 1.30 p.m.
